I highly recommend doing something like this because it’s not worth straining yourself to hold your entire body upright. I started using the wheely chair in my hotel as a walker, just for the first few days, to make sure I got my steps in. I would get nauseous and faint within minutes of standing up and have to lie back down to prevent throwing up/passing out. You’re supposed to get up and walk 5-10 minutes every hour straight out of surgery to prevent blood clots, but the first couple hours for me were so hard. I definitely underestimated the procedure because I knew so many celebrities have had it done, how bad could it be? It’s still a SURGICAL PROCEDURE and your body will need to recover. Get a second faja as soon as you can so you have a fresh one to change into after your first shower. Fajas have to be hand washed and hung to dry which takes AGES, and you can only be out of it for <2 hours at a time. You’ll think that you’ll be okay sleeping on your stomach until you realize you have to stand to do everything else (like eating!) and it’s not worth the pain. You can buy them online or make one (I bought a lounge chair from big lots, cut a hole where my butt would go, then padded around the hole with pillows and towels). Your faja is gonna be wet pretty much 24/7. There’s gonna be blood where you were lying every time you get up for the first couple of days.
